(Some of) Our Favorite New Releases
The first month of 2024 did not disappoint in terms of new releases, from Shot Show and beyond lots of companies are expanding and bringing a ton of fun innovation to the firearm market! We are now seeing items come in from the 2023 Shot Show as well, which we will include on this list. Let's go over some of our top picks for new releases!
The Holosun DPS
Holosun has been in the works developing their thermal optics game for a while now and even debuted some at Shot Show 2023 but the DPS line debuted at the 2024 Shot Show and it did not disappoint! With two models as of right now the DPS-NV and the DPS-TH with features like:
- IP67 Certified Waterproof
- 32 MOA circle with a 2 MOA dot or individually
- 8 daylight and 4 night vision settings
- 18350 Battery
- 1.1” x .87” vision window
- It will function as a standalone red dot.
Holosun has not released pricing yet but they are known for their quality at a very reasonable price so we don't think this release will be any different.
Bond Arms LVRB
Bond Arms is bursting on the scene with a new addition to the lever action market, this design has actually been in the works for over three years according to Gordon Bond and relies heavily on customer feedback and what the people wanted to see in the market for features on a lever gun, such as:
- Short lever throw
- Low bore axis
- Camming system
- Magazine fed
- ‘Tactical’ look
It looks like this new model will come in- 5.56, 300 Blackout, 450 Bushmaster, and 350 Legend. Though the chambering list has not been confirmed yet those are just some guesses coming from the firearm community. With Bond Arms normally associated with Pistols I'm very excited to see where this new release leads them.
The Taurus Expedition
The first bolt-action rifle from Taurus has arrived! The expedition's claim to fame is that it is based off the Remington 700 and ‘aims’ to deliver sub MOA accuracy thanks to a hammer-forged barrel. This rifle also features:
- Scallop cut stock
- MLOK attachment point
- Integrated Spartan precision attachment point
- Feeds from AICS pattern magazines
- Corrosion-resistant coating on barrel and action
We will be very interested to see the first rounds of user feedback, the design seems promising and hopefully functions as hoped! It will initially be offered in .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor which im sure they will expand upon eventually.
SAR9 Gen3
If you have been in OFW lately you know we’ve started carrying a lot more of SAR’s line which has quickly become a fan favorite because of the price point and functionality, their newest release the Gen3 (Which OFW has been lucky enough to receive already) includes ergonomic back and side plates, allowing 27 different combinations, for that perfect fit. Its state-of-the-art design features a low bore axis-to-grip ratio, reducing muzzle climb. The 20-degree grip angle provides superior control for fast second-shot recovery. Combined with a smooth, flat-style, and ambidextrous safety trigger. While some of our customers have started out skeptical they have quickly turned to team SAR and recommended to anyone they can tell they should give it a try!
Diamondback DB9R TG-Nine
This new release is probably one of my favorites I've seen so far coming from the 2024 Shot Show, it kind of reminds me of an Auto ordinance mixed with an AR. The TG-Nine was designed as a modern Tommy gun mixing the best of both worlds. A Magpul 50 round drum magazine really adds that Je ne sais quoi! Also featuring:
- A black anodized hardcoat
- Chambered in 9mm Luger
- Blockback gas system
- Diamondback black nitride 9R bolt carrier
- A3 Flattop forged 7075 T-6 upper
- 15” MLOK handguard with full pic & QD mounts
- DB15 Tommy gun style flash hider
And yes, the guitar case is the actual case this firearm comes with… Just in case (haha) you needed a reason to love it more!
Smith & Wesson 1854
Smith and Wesson has gone back to their roots and is releasing the S&W 1854 series lever action! It sounds like this will be a limited edition run for them and the only confirmed caliber is 44 Magnum, it is rumored that is the only chambering that will be offered in the two models of the 1854. The only difference between the two models of the 1854 series seems to be the stock and finish, one looking to be a stainless and black model and the other a wood stock and blued finish. Here are some of the features:
- 9 round capacity
- 19.25” Barrel
- Cross-Bolt safety
- 36” long
- Between 108-113 oz
Which model do you have your eyes on? OFW may already have one on the way…
CVA Cascade SR-80
CVA is making news with its first entry into the scout rifle market! Mostly known around OFW for their affordable muzzleloaders but the SR-80 might be making an appearance here soon, made for short range hunting this compact rifle is outfitted with a ton of fun features - Such as:
- 18” Threaded barrel
- FDE with black webbing stock
- Picatinny rail
- Williams rear peep and adjustable elevation front post
- 70-degree bolt throw
- Radial muzzle brake
It looks like the SR-80 will be offered in .308 and 350 Legend for now but we will see if they expand in the future. One of my favorite features is the spacer adjustable LOP which tailors to most shooters in the market for a compact firearm!
Safe to say One Force is very excited about all the new releases, both the ones finally arriving from Shotshow 2023 and the ones on the horizon from Shotshow 2024!
